Description

One of my favourite, and without a doubt the most charming, beetles we have in the UK; the Bloody-nosed Beetle (Timarcha tenebricosa). Couldn't resist taking a photo when I saw this one perched on a blackberry. It would have been rude not to with such a stage! 1/200, f/14, iso 100.
