When we visited this Beach on Christmas Eve it had an almost ethereal quality, the tide was out for Sunset as I had planned and waves were rough but breaking on the rocks further out and the water came rushing through the troughs in the volcanic rock that had been eroded over thousands of years. The natural formations in the distance are a great focal point to silhouette the Sunset which I capture in another image, however I moved around afterwards looking for other compositions and found this. My intention here is to convey the deep mood of the place with the dying light at what felt like the ends of the Earth. It is a long exposure blend. 70mm, f16, ISO 100, 2s and 15s
